LEE COUNTY, IL, February 14, 2025 – PGIM Private Capital, invested $148 million of Senior Secured Notes for Potentia Renewables, the integrated developer and operator of Power Sustainable Energy Infrastructure Inc., to support their acquisition of Big Sky Wind, a 240 MW wind facility located across Bureau and Lee Counties in Illinois, from a subsidiary of Vitol, a leading energy and commodities company. PGIM Private Capital is a leading source of private debt for public and private companies and is the private capital arm of PGIM, the $1.4 trillion global investment management business of Prudential Financial, Inc. Originally commissioned in 2012, Big Sky Wind underwent a significant repowering in late 2022, led by Vitol, resulting in enhanced efficiency and increased energy production. The repowering process involved replacing the original 114 Suzlon S88-2.1 MW turbines with 104 Vestas V120-2.2 MW turbines and five Vestas V110-2.2 MW turbines. This upgrade has significantly improved Big Sky Wind’s performance and energy production.
